Night Club Employees

Night club employees are generally taken for granted. Most owners treat them bad and generally as a third rate citizen. If you don’t believe me, ask an employee of a night club. As you can see, we are entering another topic that is very important. And it is just as important as the rest of the topics we have discussed.

That is why I said in the beginning that your success, and profits are not just about night club promotions,

is not the answer to your success itself. It’s when you combine all facets of this business, manage them well, and then you become more successful then in your wildest dreams. And the subject of night club employees is no different.


SIDEBAR: Remember, in order for your night club to succeed, you need to follow a natural logical process. It’s not one thing that opens the door to success!


Believe me when I tell you that without your employees, you’re nothing! They are your representative. When you customer meets the very first person at the door, to the bartender who pours them their drink, to the cocktail waitress, to whom ever else you have on staff.

Your night club employees portray who and what your night club is all about. So train them right, treat them right, and pay them right! These people can make you or break you.

I know that some of them are a pain in the ass! But as in life, some things are a pain in the ass. What are you bitching about? If you can’t take the heat, then get out of the fire.

Another thing, I can hear you now. Those bartenders make a ton of money. They’ll do what I tell them!

Wrong!

Treat and train your employees right and they will become invaluable. Welcome them on their shift with a nice hello. Ask them if there is anything that you can do for them. Give them A compliment. What? Is your mouth broke?

Who doesn’t like a pat on the back now and then.

Treat these people with kindness and respect.

Remember, you get what you give!There is a difference between being firm, and being an asshole!

I tend to use that word a lot. Oh well.

You get more out of people with sugar then vinegar. How does that old saying go? It takes more energy to frown then to smile.

Bottom line. Do the right thing. Treat your night club employees right. Hope that they make a lot of money. And these will people will never leave or let you down.

What? Do you want a huge turnover all the time? There is no benefit to you always training someone new. None.

If you have night club employees always quitting on you, YOU got a problem. When this happens, it reflects on you as a manager and owner. And your customers don’t like it either. Especially your regulars. It will cost you more money and more aggravation by doing this. And as a manager or owner, no one, is indispensable. But if you’re dealing with this kind of atmosphere, you need to solve them.

Now I’m not saying that all employees are great! Some are unbearable. They really don’t give a shit about you. They are only looking at the tips they can make, period! Some employees are all about themselves. This isn’t good either. Yes, an employee needs to look out for themselves. But, when they lie, are late, steal, are selfish, don’t play well with others, are rude, and are full of themselves, this isn’t good either. You need to get rid of them. Now! Remember, this is a business. And, it’s all about YOU. OK. Get rid of the dead weight if need be.
