Programmed Music played in your place is of vital importance. It’s who and what you are. And with choices today like AME
Programmed Music, your life just got a whole lot easier.
That being said, many bar owners especially, always have an issue with their staff playing music that they don’t want played. Let’s face it, as soon as you walk out the door, run an errand, or got to the office, the change the station, or put in their own CD, or play the juke box songs that you don’t want to hear.
Then comes the customers. You know what it’s like when you have a tv remote control on the bar. Everyone wants something different. Always. The same is with music. One person wants hear rap music, the person at the end of the bar is complaining that he wants that crap shut off and wants to hear rock music.
Another person wants to hear some jazz, another some oldies, and the list goes on. You don’t want to choose sides, and especially choose what customer gets their way.
What a mess it can turn out to be. I even tried to put a sound system in the office. All the controls couldn’t be touched by the staff, and the music choice was mine. Problem solved, right?
Not quite. Unless you’re playing the radio, you can only get a 5 cd changer. And they just play over and over. If you are playing the radio, you never know what you’re going to get, plus you get the commercials.
Then, there are times during the course of the day that you want to play certain music when you open, a different choice at lunch, another selection at afternoon and happy hour, and probably a completely different selection in the evening.
So there goes satellite radio. And there goes cable and satellite music stations too. If the control has to be at the bar and accessible to everyone, you’re right back where you started from. The staff will pick and choose what they want, not what you want.
See what I mean? So the sound system don’t work in the office either. So, what to do, what to do. Actually, nothing you can do. Right?
Wrong! There is an answer. And it’s
AME. (American Music Environments)
I happened upon AME Programmed Music quite by accident. I learned about them through my Sysco Foodservice Representative.
That’s right. Learning about digital programmed music through foodservice. That’s different.
So I asked them for more information on AME. And what I got was heaven on earth. No kidding. I was so happy getting my first one, I got another one for my second location.
Now I am not an easy sale. I’m as skeptical as a person can be. I ran AME Digital Programmed Music through the ringer and they answered all of my questions and concerns. Much to my surprise I might add.
This is a call you need to make. Or drop them an email at
email@example.com. You will be pleasantly surprised.
Get the information and read. They offer a large variety of music categories to choose from. Mix and match any of them. Schedule the type of music you want to play at the times you want it played! How about that?
You can program in special events by date and the music will over ride your normal selection and play it. It’s remarkable.
You can choose the tempo, the artist, the schedule, and the songs you want, when you want them.
The AME Digital Programmed Music system automatically updates itself every night at three in the morning by phone line. And they send you the phone cord to plug it in.
And the system turns on and off automatically too! And you choose the times. How sweet is that. No more dealing with the staff or the cleaning crew blasting the music while you are not there. Not to mention blowing your speakers.
You can program the music any way you want. The system comes with two zones also. So you can play different music in different rooms. Or, you can use the second zone for music on hold.
You’re not going to believe this, but that’s all you need to do is plug it into a phone jack, plug the electric cord into a wall receptacle, and plug one RCA cord into your amplifier. That’s it! It took less then three minutes to install.
Now that’s my kind of installation. I can go on and on. Do yourself a favor. Give AME Digital Music a call. You’ll be glad you did.
I write about AME as it is the only company I have ever dealt with with programmed music. I don’t get a commission for this, I just am telling you my experience. I am sure there are others that you can look into. And, you may find that this type of set up is not for you either.
Programmed Music is just a part of the bar/nightclub business, so to learn more why not start from the beginning.
